A Complete Success of European Interest Rate Derivative Senior Seminar
From July 7 to July 16, the NAFMII held its first “European Interest Rate Derivatives Senior Seminar” in London, UK by the joint invitation of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) and its European headquarters the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME). Thirteen representatives from 13 member corporations of the NAFMII attended the training.
As the market scale of the RMB interest rate derivatives has expended and the investor based has broadened, the Seminar mainly focused on the experience of the development of the European interest rate derivatives market, the history of its development and future prospects of the market. Experts from financial, accounting and legal fields from institutions such as the AFME, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), HSBC, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, and Deutsche Bank gave lessons on topics like the development of European interest rate derivative products, European sovereign debt crises and the economic development, introduction to interest rate derivatives and risk management and many more. The delegation also took a field trip to the trading floor of Deutsche Bank with an aim to grasp a general idea about its transactions procedures.
The experts of the Seminar offered stimulating classes with comprehensive contents. The forms of training were diversified and the classroom atmosphere was active. Students enjoyed it very much and asked many in-depth questions. The senior Seminar enhanced two-way communications and exchanges in the China-Europe financial field and was a great success.
