On April 14, 2011, the Inaugural Meeting of Professional Brokerage Committee (PBC) and the First Committee Meeting was successfully convened in Beijing. Shi Wenchao, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the NAFMII addressed the meeting and awarded the letter of employment to the first 21 PBC members.

As the first self-regulatory organization in the field of brokerage established upon the official approval by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in China, PBC is a special institution assembled by NAFMII with the market experts and academicians in the fields relating to the currency brokerage for promoting the sound development of the brokerage industry. Hu Zhengheng, Secretary of CPC Committee of China Foreign Exchange Trading System & National Interbank Funding Center, acts as the first Lead Director of PBC. Other members includes experts and leaders of the People’s Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission and other regulatory departments, as well as senior experts of the interbank market currency brokerage companies, commercial banks, securities companies, funds companies and institutions involving in the financial market, the intermediate platform representatives of foreign exchange trading centers, central clearing and settlement firms and Shanghai Clearing House, and renowned scholars and professional lawyers of research institutions. PBC will provide professional and authoritative experts' opinions concentrating on the major theme, i.e, development of the brokerage in China, on an overall and objective basis.

After then, the first PBC committee meeting, chaired by Mr. Hu Zhengheng, Lead Director of PBC, discussed the rules for procedure, mid-term and long-term work plans, work arrangements for 2011 and other works of PBC. The meeting passed the Rules of Procedures for Professional Brokerage Committee, National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors, and set forth the working target and working plan for 2011,which laid a solid foundation for carrying out future work in a comprehensive and orderly manner.
