On September 18-30, 2011, NAFMII and CCFA jointly held the 1st seminar on bond credit risk and information disclosure in Canada. Shi Wenchao, NAFMII Secretary-General, and Wang Yong, CCFA President, attended the seminar opening ceremony and delivered speeches. 17 trainees from China Foreign Exchange Trade System, commercial banks, securities companies and other organizations participated in this seminar.

Several senior experts from Bank of Montreal and RBS were invited to give lectures on the seminar, and the delegation visited organizations such as Bank of Montreal, Citibank, HSBC, Toronto Stock Exchange, TD Canada Trust and Scotiabank. This not only deepened Chinese financial professionals' perception and understanding of bond credit risk and information disclosure in the capital markets of North America and Canada, but also communicated the development of Chinese interbank bond market and related market practices and experience, promoting the exchanges between Chinese and Canadian capital market players.

The seminar established a platform to broaden the vision, boost peer exchanges and learn international experience, gaining high praises from the trainees.
