On October 17, Professor Yu Yongding, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and former director of the Institute of World Economy and Politics, led a research group from the Institute at CASS to carry out a survey research in NAFMII. Secretary-General Shi Wenchao and relevant department heads of NAFMII held a forum with the research group from CASS.
During the forum, Secretary-General Mr. Shi expressed his welcome of the research group , followed with a detailed introduction about the historical and political background of the early NAFMII, and its development in the past five years, its work of innovation, self- regulation and services, as well as the development of China’s bond market in recent years.

Professor Yu Yongding expressed his gratitude to NAFMII, pointing out that China is currently going through a critical financial system reform, and that the development of the bond market is important not only for the bond market itself but also for the financial reform as a whole, and that NAFMII has played an important role in promoting the development of China’s bond market during the process; hoping to learn about the latest progress of the bond market through such research and in turn provide more realistic policy proposals to facilitate a steady and healthy advance of financial reform. Mr. Yu also expressed hope for the Institute of World Economy and Politics at CASS to maintain a long-term cooperation with NAFMII so as to jointly contribute to the development of China’s financial markets.
