On March 13, Feng Guanghua, Deputy Secretary-General of NAFMII, met with Karby Leggett, Regional Head of Capital Markets, NEA Financial Markets, Standard Chartered Bank.

During the talks, Mr. Feng introduced the development of China's bond market, as well as the work NAFMII has done as a self-regulatory organization in promoting market development and innovation, establishing and optimizing market mechanisms and constructing market infrastructures. Mr. Feng said that the rapid development of China's interbank market has benefited from the guidance of regulatory authorities like PBC and the joint efforts of market members. Standard Chartered Bank has played an active role in the development of the Chinese interbank market, Mr. Feng added. He expressed the hope that foreign market members, including Standard Chartered Bank, will continue to participate in and support the work of NAFMII.
Karby Leggett introduced Standard Chartered Bank’s business development in the Asia-Pacific region. He said China is a key area for Standard Chartered Bank to develop business, and the Bank is willing to continue actively participating in the development of China's financial markets and play a bigger role in this process. Both sides expressed their willingness to continue efforts to enhance exchanges and jointly promote the development of China's interbank market.
