On the afternoon of March 26, Secretary-General Shi Wenchao met with Michael Ormaechea, Head of Global Markets Asia-Pacific at Deutsche Bank, and his delegation.

During the talks, Dr. Shi introduced the development of China's bond market, as well as the work NAFMII has done as a self-regulatory organization in promoting market development and international cooperation. Dr. Shi said that Chinese government agencies, the central bank, regulatory authorities, NAFMII and market members all dedicate themselves to promoting the development of the interbank market. Deutsche Bank has also participated and played an active role. He expressed hope that all market members will continue the efforts to participate in and support the work of NAFMII.
Mr. Ormaechea briefly introduced Deutsche Bank’s business development in the Asia-Pacific region. He said, with the rapid development of onshore and offshore RMB markets, China sees broad prospects in the future. Deutsche Bank is willing to continue actively participating in the development of China's financial markets and play a bigger role in the process. Both sides expressed their willingness to continue efforts to enhance exchanges and jointly promote the development of China's interbank market.
