NAFMII Tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation with Hebei Government and PBC Shijiazhuang Central Sub-branch

On May 30, NAFMII signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with the People’s Government of Hebei and PBC Shijiazhuang Central Sub-branch in Shijiazhuang. Jiang Bo, Assistant Governor and Director of Financial Work Office of Hebei Government, Zhang Wenhui, Head of PBC Shijiazhuang Central Sub-branch, and Cao Zijuan, NAFMII Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Secretary-General, signed and exchanged the "Memorandum of Cooperation on Boosting Hebei Economic Development through the Inter-bank Market".

By the end of April 2013, 40 enterprises from Hebei province had issued 110 non-financial enterprise debt financing instruments, cumulatively raising RMB113.42 billion, with a balance of RMB69.3 billion. RMB22.25 billion worth of instruments were issued in 2012. From 2009 to 2012, the balance of debt financing instruments of Hebei province increased from RMB 9.1billion to RMB60.75 billion, growing 6 times in 3 years’ time. The issuers come from the pillar industrial sectors and industries with unique advantages in Hebei Province, such as steel, energy, port and bio-pharmaceuticals. The interbank market has provided effective support for the province to optimize its industrial structure.

The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation marks a new page for the cooperation between NAFMII and Hebei government and PBC Shijiazhuang Central Sub-branch. Looking forward, NAFMII will work with Hebei government and PBC Shijiazhuang Central Sub-branch to push forward cooperation in various specific aspects in line with the principle of “communicate closely, strengthen collaboration, standardize market development and serve the real economy”, so as to make contributions to realizing the strategic objective of Hebei province to “build an economically strong and harmonious Hebei”.
