NAFMII’s European Bond Market and Risk Management Senior Training Program (first session) held successfully in Germany

To further enhance market members’ understanding of European bond market and risk management skills in bond market, NAFMII held the first session of “European Bond Market and Risk Management Senior Training Program” on April 14-25, 2014 in Frankfurt, Germany. 27 senior executives and key business members from commercial banks, securities companies, fund management companies, insurance asset management companies, enterprises, participated in the workshop.

The training program was held at Goethe Business School and German Stock Exchange respectively. In Goethe Business School, professors gave lectures on topics including European financial system, European corporate bond market overview, credit risk management tools, bond valuation and fixed income trading strategies. While in German Stock Exchange, experts from Robus Asset Management, Deutsche Bank and Finanzagentur delivered keynote speeches on topics such as German securities market regulatory evolution, German SME bond market, economic outlook in Europe, German government bonds.

Except the courses in class, the delegation also visited European Central Bank and Bank of China Frankfurt Branch to gain further insights into the development prospects of European bond market and overseas financial institutions’ capital market business.

This is the first tripartite training program NAFMII conducted in cooperation with overseas self-regulatory organizations and prestigious universities. In such a constantly changing market, every market participant needs to work hard to retain the specialized expertise to fulfill their mandate. NAFMII’s training program aims exactly to improve members’ capability to better respond to the challenges posed by the dynamic international market environment.
