Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jianhong Held Talks with Mr. Gary Lew

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jianhong first briefly introduced to Mr. Gary Lew the development status of China’s bond market, and Mr. Gary Lew presented to NAFMII the banking business model and development of bond custody business at Bank of New York Mellon. Subsequently, the two sides exchanged views on the difference of international and domestic custody business models. Finally, the two sides said that with the opening of domestic inter-bank bond markets, the two sides will have more opportunities for exchange and cooperation, and for joint contribution to the development of the bond market.
