On the afternoon of December 4, Deputy Secretary-General Feng Guanghua met with Michael de Jong, financial minister of British Columbia of Canada, and his delegation.

Mr. Feng Guanghua Holds Talks with Mr. Michael de Jong

During the meeting, Mr. Feng first welcomed the visit of Mr. Michael de Jong and his delegation, and expressed congratulations for the successful registration of B.C.'s RMB-denominated bonds in China’s interbank market in 2015. Mr. Feng and heads of relevant departments introduced to Mr. Michael de Jong the development of China’s interbank bond market, the registration, issuance, post-registration supervision, membership management &service and relevant information of bookbuilding associated with Panda bonds.

Mr. Michael de Jong indicated that NAFMII is a strong driving force for the opening up of China’s interbank market. He also expressed appreciation to NAFMII for cooperation in the registration of Canadian B.C.'s RMB-denominated bonds, and highly praised the efficiency and transparency demonstrated by the People's Bank of China and NAFMII during preliminary communication and preparation for the bonds. In the end of the meeting, Mr. Feng conferred the Notice of Registration for Issuance to Mr. Michael de Jong.
